Wudu is more than just washing before prayer
The Prophet ﷺ said, “When a Muslim or believer performs wudu and he washes his face, the sins he committed with his eyes are washed away from his face… When he washes his hands, the sins of his hands are washed away… When he washes his feet, the sins of his feet are washed away, until he is completely free from sin.” (Sahih Muslim, 244)

Yet, many of us forget to say the beautiful supplication after wudu. The Prophet ﷺ promised: "Whoever performs wudu in the best way and then says this supplication, the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through whichever one he wishes."
